Job Summary

The food services candidate should have a basic knowledge of food preparation. On-the-job training by experience cooks will be provided.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Requirements: Basic cooking of easy meals. Home cooking experience is sufficient to quality for the position. Other kitchen personnel are on staff to assist in food preparation.
• The primary duty for this position would be to prepare the evening meal for assisted living residents. Homestyle cooking is the preferred method of preparation.
• Meals are an important part of making a homelike environment for our residents. Meals are not only for nourishment, but also an important time for the residents to socialize and interact with their peers. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidate must be able to follow a recipe, work well with others in a close environment, be able to stand for long periods.
• Candidate must also be compassionate and interact well with the elderly.
